I know that to some of you this may sound quite unusual!

So che questo potra' sembrare a molti di voi un po' atipico e quantomeno stravagante

Massimo and I figured that the day we would have announced our wedding, family and friends would have asked "What can we give you? Do you have a list? Can we contribute to your honeymoon?". We thought about it and we realized....we really didn't need anything! So, we decided to start a fundraising project instead!

Massimo ed io ci siamo resi conto che nel giorno in cui avessimo annunciato il nostro matrimonio, famiglia ed amici ci avrebbero chiesto "cosa possiamo regalarvi? avete fatto una lista? possiamo contribuire almeno al viaggio di nozze?". Dopo averci brevemente pensato siamo arrivati alla conclusione che....non avevamo bisogno di niente! Cosi' abbiamo deciso di iniziare una raccolta di fondi, in modo da poter devolvere il ricavato ad un valido progetto.

...and then we ran into the next problem...With so many valiant associations, which one should we choose for our fundraising? We finally chose the Global Fund for Women. The Global Fund for Women was founded in 1987 in Palo Alto, California. Their mission is to create powerful networks to find, fund, and amplify the work of women who are building social movements and challenging the status quo around the world. ...e qui siamo incappati nel problema successivo...con cosi' tante associazioni meritevoli, per quale dovevamo raccogliere i fondi? alla fine la scelta e' caduta sul Global Fund for Women. Il Global Fund for Women e' stato fondato a Palo Alto, California, nel 1987. La loro missione e' di creare una forte rete di connessioni per trovare, finanziare ed amplificare il lavoro di donne che stanno creando delle rivoluzioni sociali o sfidando lo status quo della loro societa', in diversi Paesi del mondo.
