Cycling from the UK, my adopted home, to the North of Italy  where I grew up, has long been a  dream of mine but to find the time to train or to do it seemed an impossible task.But after witnessing the way my sister Anna coped with her illness in such a positive and serene manner I know that I can and must do it.

I probably haven't trained as hard as I should and my sense of direction is not the best - so it's quite likely that the planned 1850 km will become 2000 km by the time I finish...

Jokes apart it is a great opportunity for me to travel alone across my beloved Europe visiting eight different countries en route and I am sure making a lot of new friends along the way

Anna's life was taken away so brutally by sarcoma a type of cancer that is very difficult to treat, so there is a great need for more research in this specific area.

All funds donated will go direct to the charity as I am personally financing my trip.
