London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023 · 2 April 2023 ·
As most of you know I still have one year of my 5year remission. Having had cancer has made more aware of how important research is, no only for cancer but for any illness!.
I know many of you would think, "Oh no, what is she doing now?" And I appreciate the sentiment but please bare with me. The last few months I've lost my running/exercise mojo I felt back in my dark clouds and decided to get back on my medication so I can at least feel better and smile more. Running gives me the endorphins I need to control my mental health and the opportunity to do amazing races but also race much needed funds.
When this year Samuel passed away we were all heartbroken, he was Alba's school friend and they even had a very brief teen romance. I didn't know Samuel personally or his family but they have always been in our thoughts and continue to be. I ran the same race last year and tried somehow to honour his memory but this year I thought I should put more effort with trainers on and off and raise some funds for his new charity Samuel's Promise, linked to the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia group.
I'm going to be very honoured to run in Samuel's memory and I hope I can make him, Sharon, Keith, Emily and all his family proud!
So, please any donation will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all so much!
