We fund vital research into neuroblastoma to find new and better treatments

Story

I'm running the Tough Guy challenge later in Janurary, in honour of Lizzy Bremer, who sadly lost her battle with neuroblastoma shortly after her second birthday.

Lizzy had an incredibly rare strain of an aggressive childhood cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma in January. This affects around 25% of the 60 children a year who get this disease. She was, staggeringly, 1 of only 15 children in the UK being treated at this level. Sadly, current treatments can be ineffective if a child's tumours have an amplification of the MYC-N gene. This is what caused Lizzy's cancer to take over her body and run out of control.

So, in Janurary I will be completing Tough Guy 2014, which claims to be the worlds hardest endurance event.

Please watch the attacted clip to show what I will be particpating in:

PLEASE help us to make changes and move forward in the trearment & understanding of Neuroblastoma.

With lots of love,

Luke Appleton
