Havering Half Marathon 2019 · 6 October 2019 ·

Ahava Community was set up in 2011 to "make homelessness history." We provide the Catalyst Night Shelter, our Thrive Community Housing, for over 50 people and a Transformation programme to rehabilitate people with addiction difficulties.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to view my Just Giving page!

This October, I have set myself the challenge of taking part in the Havering Half marathon to help raise money for Hope 4 Havering.

An amazing charity that help the homeless find shelter and housing, Hope 4 Havering have remarkably helped hundreds of homeless people and renewed their lives.

Since they first opened their night shelter doors in 2011, the charity have provided countless support to those less fortunate. However, to continue their great cause, they rely on donations from the generous public.

Therefore, to help raise awareness and generate donations for Hope 4 Havering, I have excitedly put my name down for this year's Havering Half Marathon.

Having never previously embarked on any running challenge in my life, I  have been inspired by my fellow participants to suit up in spandex and vasceline from head to toe, in my hardest challenge yet! If I can complete the Half Marathon in under 2 hours and with my dignity still intact, I will be over the moon.

More importantly, if you're able to donate generously to Hope 4 Havering and help smash my fundraising target, you can make a big difference in the fight to prevent homelessness in Havering.

Thank you!
