NRAS works to support the 450,000 people living with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and the 10,000 children and young people living with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), their families, friends, carers and the healthcare professionals who treat them.

Story

I am part of a team of 3 who are doing a charity car banger rally called Inverness or Bust, the rally is to drive in a car costing £500 or less from here in Wiltshire to Inverness, a very convoluted route, carrying put various tasks, etc over 3 days. The car has to be decorated to a theme.

The car we are using is a 'pristine' 1997 Toyota Celica, it was donated to us for the rally after being sat unused, rotting on a driveway for 4yrs. We got it running, filled the holes and it's now been 'tastefully' modified to encompass the worst of all car modding. Our team is called 'Not Fast Mildly Furious'.

My chosen charity is The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, this is very close to my heart as my partner was diagnosed with this horrible disease 5yrs ago, which has turned our World upside down. My children are also under investigation for the disease as they also suffer with joint issues.

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) is here to support all those living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) to allow them to live their lives to the full. Visit our website at www.nras.org.ukNRAS is changing minds, changing services, changing lives for people with RA and JIA
