Over the past 4 years I have had my own battle with mental health and want to prove to myself that once you focus your mind anything is possible.

I had plenty of extremely tough times with only my close family and friends truly knowing how bad it was. Things can always improve. Now to show that, I want to undertake a huge mental battle once again, by running 165miles over 3 days.

I plan on running, roughly, the border of South Yorkshire which will see me cover a total of 165miles.

Day 1- 16/09/22 - Tickhill to Great Houghton covering 61.4miles - Completed (Huge Thank You to support runners Tom Wright and Ian Hurt).

Day 2 - 17/09/22 - Great Houghton to Ringinglow Road covering 56.8miles - Completed (Huge Thank You to today's support runner; Tom Wright, Martin Knight, Luke Howdle and Darren Davis).

Day 3 - 18/09/22 - Ringinglow Road to Tickhill Covering 46.8miles - Completed (Hugh Thank You to the support runner; Luke Howdle, Laura Gillott, John Pinkos, Luke Wilson, Phil Fletcher, Jordan Beighton and a Special Thanks to Sue Keens).

So many people have struggles and battles with mental health, including many of my family and friends. I want to prove to myself and others no matter how dark a place you get into, things can always improve. Talking to the people close to me and receiving private professional help was huge for me on my journey and, likewise, could be for others.

I was lucky that I had huge support from family and close friends throughout my struggle. This helped so much and gave me the help I needed. I know not everyone is so lucky and don't have the support around them that I had and this is where Mind UK comes in. They offer the help and advice needed to anyone who is struggling, I personally didn't use the charity but wanted to do this challenge on behalf of them to raise awareness and funds to help such a great cause.

If you want to join me on any part of the run please email me, ldavis.maltby@gmail.com. Even if you don't want to run but want to help please contact me as there will be plenty of other support jobs that would be a huge help!
