We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

As some of you may know, I have been in remission for just over 6 years after battling cancer. I had a bone tumour (Ewing’s sarcoma) in my fibula where I spent just over a year having intense chemo therapy. I was treated at the teenage cancer trust in the Heath hospital throughout this period and it made the worst year of my life somewhat bearable. Having such a nice environment and amazing nurses looking after me meant the world.

There are 4 of us running the Cardiff Half Marathon in October for TCT, one of which is Will Brown. Will was unexpectedly diagnosed last March with Leukaemia (ALL) and has spent the previous 14 months battling it. Thankfully all has gone well and he is currently on a maintenance cycle that ends in 2021. A massive mention goes out to Will for smashing it! Having spent the a lot of time at the TCT he agrees with how amazing they really are!

Our target is to raise £600 before the event and hopefully with your help we can! Thank you.

All money donated through this just giving page will be sent directly to the teenage cancer trust.
