Hi everyone….. firstly a huge  thank you for taking the time to visit my page just giving page & story. This year I will be attempting run the London marathon for the first time. (Also my first ever marathon)

As most of my friends and family already know I lost my amazing mum to cancer back in 2003, our family has never really been the same since. But in the final stages of her wonderful life, she was cared for so amazingly  by the all the lovely staff at one of the Marie curie hospices.

Which has led to me doing various events in the past.

But sadly, as many of you will also know…. Earlier This year I also lost my beautiful dad , following a courageous 6 year battle with cancer. Although he was never admitted to a hospice, (his choice) the care he & my family received was incredible & much a needed rest bite from the daily struggle of pretty much 24 hrs care he required. Especially in the final stages of his battle.

also…. In the months following his death. Finding everyday life became increasingly difficult, juggling mourning, a business to run, being a dad & husband was nearly too much.often resulting in the worst version of myself or not being my real self at all.

Along with the love of my amazing family & friends, I found the support by the bereavement councillors at Marie curie to be invaluable. Something that yourself or your close or loved ones sometimes can’t help with. Once again a service I will be forever grateful for!!!

I know that these amazing charities run entirely on donations,so if my story resignates with anyone or wether you feel like just helping out for my amazing charity because of efforts. it would be hugely appreciated.

Please note…. After what has been without hesitation the worst year of my life. I’m in possible the worst condition of my life, the task of getting ready for the event will be a long and daunting one. In which I will be taking very seriously (any one who knows me, will agree with this)

Any donations no matter what the amount would be greatly received.

Thank you all in advance  I’ll hopefully raise plenty of money & do my mum & dad proud.

Luke & family .
