In July 2013 my step son Charlie had brain surgery at Sheffields Childrens Hospital. He had been diagnosed with a Chiari Malformation earlier that year. Charlie was 6 years old at the time and coped with the whole process brilliantly. The staff at the hospital were excellent to both Charlie and his Mum while she stayed with him for the week, so this is my way of trying to give a bit back to them.

Those of you who know me will be aware I'm not the fittest person so the Liverpool to Leeds canal bike ride will be a massive challenge, mentally and physically! The route is a total of 127miles split into two stages. We will begin on Saturday 20th June and finish Sunday 21st June 2015. Please feel free to witness the finish by standing on the canal bridge near Leeds City Cafe on the Sunday at some point in the afternoon!
