Story

Mam and I are taking part in the Great North Run in September to raise money for Blood Cancer UK in memory of Hannah who sadly passed away following a 7 month battle with Leukemia, a form of blood cancer.

Mam said to Hannah whilst she was in hospital that she would do the Great North Run this year to raise money for Blood Cancer UK, to which Hannah replied whilst rolling her eyes "I doubt it, you can't even run to the end of the bloody road". However, mam said she would show her and is now up to 7 miles with her training and doing incredibly well.

We have even roped a lot of our friends into the run and the 'Rolsey Rockets' as they are known are training multiple times a week, so keep a look at for them around Rosley and if you see them give them a pip to spur them on.

Blood cancer is the most common type of cancer in children, teenagers and young adults in the UK with 40,000 new cases a year and currently 240,000 people living with disease. Our family never thought this would come knocking on our door but you really never know the minute. Hannah was an extremely kind and caring person with an entire life in front of her but unfortunately life can be so cruel at times and our lives will never be the same, however she is always with us and spurring us on all the way.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you would be kind enough to donate to this charity that is close to our hearts we would really appreciate it.

Please also click the gift aid option as the government contributes towards your overall donation.

Thank you so much.
