Luke and Olivia take Paris!

Paris Marathon 2022 · 3 April 2022 ·
What we are doing?
Luke and Olivia are running their first ever marathon in Paris on 3 April 2022, in loving memory of Stuart Hooper who sadly passed away on 25 May 2020 at just 31 years of age.
Why?
Stu was a much loved friend and is sorely missed by us all. As we all know, Stu loved and played most sports. In his spare time he was a keen runner and running a marathon remained a goal of his, even during his battle with cancer.
We have decided to follow in his aspirations and run the Paris marathon in his memory and to raise awareness generally around Sarcoma. Please see a brief note at the end of this story which explains a little more about Sarcoma UK, a national charity.
The marathon is on Sunday 3 April 2022 and so we are now entering the last few weeks of our training programme, which started back in November given the challenge which lay ahead! We have not set ourselves a time to beat but anything around the 4 hour mark is the target.
We are sure you will agree that this challenge is for a very worth course, so please dig deep and donate anything which you can - any support will be greatly appreciated.
We also wish to recognise and remember others who were close to us that have sadly passed away recently following their own battles with different forms of cancer. We are dedicating this to them too!
Best wishes
Luke & Olivia
Thank you for visiting my page. I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care. Thank you for your support.
