I’m selling myself (and Hannah) for charity!!

As you may well have noticed I’m doing the 2014 London Marathon and need to raise £2,000 for the London Community Foundation.

Many of you have been very generous in your giving so far, and I thank you very much for that. But I still need to raise a serious amount to reach the target!

So... phase two of my fundraising plan is to sell the services of myself, and my partner, Hannah ‘Tabitha’ Tarling.

Here’s the portfolio of what’s on offer (every penny goes to charity, of course).

 

Swim like Michael Phelps (or Becky Adlington)

I was the kid a school with all the badges on his trunks – got them all (expect the bloody butterfly) and my prized badge was for technique. So, if you would like a crash-lesson in how to breath, stroke, dive, turn,  go faster, go further and use far less energy;  if you want to look like an eel in the water rather than a cocker spaniel;  I’ll spend the afternoon with you at a pool of your choice. I’ll even throw in a pair of goggles for the first person to sign up:  

£30 a lesson (or donate more if you wish!)

 

A guided mountain bike tour for beginners/intermediates/crazy fools

Ever wanted to go mountain biking, but can’t find any mountains/don’t have a bike? – well I’ve been doing it since I was a nipper and know all the best spots in the South East and Wales. I will guide you round, show you some basic skillz like how to go up, how to go down and how not to jump.

Will supply all the kit, lunch, transport and accommodation AND a top-of-the-range bike.  

                1 day in Surrey Hills – reserve price £35

                South Wales with a night’s stay in Bristol – at least £50

 

A social media/digital marketing consultation

I’ve been doing this with small businesses and charities for nearly a decade. I eat tweets for breakfast and tumblrs for lunch. I’ll provide all my hints, tips, tricks and strategy ideas for you, your department, your business or whatever you want to promote. Ask Michelle Evans – I’m worth it!

 Social media consultation - £40 for two hours (that is really, really cheap)

 

 

Seriously good gardening.

Tabitha designs and maintains every type of outdoor space – from small front gardens, to oligarch’s mansions. (She was a leading part of a silver-medal winning Chelsea garden don’t you know!)

I’ve twisted her green fingers and she has generously donated some of Tabitha Tarling Gardens’ professional time to help me raise money:

10 hrs x Garden spruce up - £15/per hour (that’s under half price!!!)

3 x Design consultations – £30 (or £50 for this and 2 hr’s maintenance)

First come first served. Within London preferably.

 

So there it is. Of course, watching me suffer the pain of running about looking like a skinny Ali-G may be enough for you – so please don’t let me stop you donating for the fun of it.
