Story
Update; post 18th June:
I did it! Thanks to all of your support (if you had already sponsored me) I was confident enough to walk across the roof of a very tall building and abseil down. It was incredibly scary at the top, but the fear quickly turned into enjoyment and I had the time of my life. I even managed to do a couple of James bond style jumps! Please do still spread the word as I would very much like to raise at least £400, but for those of you who have already sponsored me, THANK you very much. It means a lot to both me and age concern. I am terrified of heights, but am going to abseil down a 170 foot (approx 52 metres) building on Sunday, 18th June. (AXA Building, in Coventry, at 11:30 am). Please do support me by sponsoring me, and by spreading the word. As this is no easy feat for me, the more sponsors I get (and the more money I raise) the more confident I will feel about it all, so your contribution really does count!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Age Concern England will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
If you are free on the day, and live in the area, then please feel free to come along and watch and cheer :-) I will keep an eye out for you (once I have my feet planted solidly on the ground again!)
