LUTON2PARIS CYCLE CHALLENGE 2018 · 1 June 2018

www.masjideali.org A community faith based charity catering for the needs of the Luton community. We preach a message of peace, unity & tolerance.

Story

In June 2018, a group of us from the Luton community 'Imran Shah, Ali Askari, Towrab Hassan and Hassan Naqvi', will be cycling approx 300 miles from Luton to Paris to raise money for Masjid-e-Ali’s building project.

We will be taking the flag from Luton’s MeA Community Centre and cycling to famous City of Paris to raise money for a multi-facility community centre.

The aim for the Community Centre is to build sports & recreation facilities plus a Ladies only Gym, a commercial kitchen to cook hot nutritional food for the Homeless & Hungry, MeA is a co-ordination point for volunteers for facilitating Humanitarian aid for the most needy impacted by conflict or natural disasters both here in the UK and abroad, a coffee lounge and libraries; adult education centre & much more; everyone can come and feel welcome. This particular challenge will focus on raising funds for the commmercial kitchen.

The Cycle Challenge will begin in Luton, cycling anything between 60 miles per day approx which will include some rugged terrain; we are determined to take the flag where it has not been before. Eventually, we'll will reach Paris, Eiffel Tower and raise the Flag of the Community Centre.

We aim to post updates of our training between now and the Cycle Challenge, and concluding with sharing pictures of the journey. However, this will be a mountainous effort and we will need you to support and motivate. Please open your hearts and your (online) pockets and donate for MeA Community Centre.

Please sponsor and follow our incredible journey to Paris on here but importantly, get on board - Join the team and help raise the flag!
