Story

GYNACOLOGICAL CANCER FUND – SILENT NO MORE

September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month, and the Gynacological Cancer fund campaign is aiming to raise awareness among young women about gynecological cancer and the symptoms. These cancers - currently known as silent killers as they are often diagnosed too late - can be reduced radically in the generations to come if young women look out for the symptoms and are brave enough to talk about their bodies more.

The Gynaecological Cancer Fund is a newly established charity with a mission to raise funds in support of Dr Susana Banerjee, a leading oncologist at The Royal Marsden. Dr Banerjee is leading research into more personalised approaches to cancer treatment.  The Gynaecological Cancer fund has committed to raising £250,000 a year to help fund the research. They are also committed to raising funds for a major awareness campaign to increase womens knowledge of the symptoms of the five gynaecological cancers.

To support the campaign, for every donation* above £7 (£8.75 with GiftAid) on our JustGiving page, we’ll enter you into a prize draw to win one of 3 limited edition sweatshirts produced by TOPSHOP, working with Simeon Farrar the designer of celebrity-favourite Black Score.

*Note: Prize draw is only open to LV= employees. Prize draw will be drawn on 5 October.
