Since I was in primary school up until now, I have experienced racial abuse. Every single comment made has stayed with me to this day. Compared to other areas in the world, my experience with racism has been mild. It’s not right that people are made to feel inferior to others or to not even feel safe and accepted in their own town and school. I don’t believe anyone is evil. However, I believe - for whatever reason - some people have grown up to think it is okay to look down on others with different skin colour, or to look at someone of different ethnicity for no more than 10 seconds and feel the need to point it out to them. Young people continue to be victims of racial abuse every day. 3 in 4 teachers have to deal with racism in their school each year without proper training or support. There has been a dramatic rise in the number of racially and religiously-motivated crimes reported to police following Brexit, including assaults and arson. Society has become ignorant and  people like to think that we need to divide into races when realistically we are all one human race and we should be working together rather than against each other.

A particularly recent incident has encouraged me to take action. I want to be a part of fighting against this because I believe it is wrong. Please help me raise money for this cause; however much or little you can. Thank you x
