Rachel, Lydia and a 13,000 ft jump · 23 October 2012

We are a life-changing charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable adults facing homelessness and poverty. We provide a safe space where our members can enjoy nutritious meals, use our laundry and showers. Our tailored suppport helps with mental health, addiction, accommodation and skills for work.

Story

Why jump out of a plane that high in the sky like a pair of mad-women?

We admit we think we'll love the adrenaline and the challenge to overcome that threshold moment where everything inside you from your mind to your gut says don't do it.

But the POINT is this: We have lived in Oxford for the last few years, and sadly, like many big towns and cities, we see homeless people on street corners, day and night, asking for some sort of help. We support the work that the Porch Steppin' Stone Centre does in providing day-long support for homeless and vulnerably housed people. They concentrate on housing, health, wellbeing, education and employment. See (http://www.theporch.org.uk).

The jump will happen on Saturday the 19th January 2013 at 8:30am, at the Hinton Skydiving Centre, 45 minutes outside Oxford. We're very terrified and excited at the same time. Please join us in supporting this cause. ALL proceeds go to Porch Steppin' Stone Centre.
