We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Hello All,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our fundraising page.

In May, we are both taking part in the Connemara Adventure Challenge. This is a crazy race that takes place in West Ireland and involves running (wading) through a muddy bog uphill for 4km, climbing a VERY steep mountain for 1km, a 17km bike ride through the forest (quite a few hills involved), a 2km kayak and just in case we have an extra pot of energy, finishes off with a rather delightful 8.5km run up a very large hill and back through the bog.  This is going to be some challenge for us to complete but training is now in full flow, sort of and we are raring to go…kind of.

We are doing this event to raise money for

Cancer Research UK

Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Fighting cancer on all fronts and finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat it to save more lives. FunThe money we will raise will be used to fund doctors & nurses to help beat cancer. Until a cure for this terrible disease is found, it will continue to rip people’s lives apart.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
