Story
We never expect gifts of any kind and are always very humbled by the generosity shown to us by Lydiard families. The events of this year have helped us to reflect on many things and the recent fundraising for Children in Need inspired us to think about what else our community could achieve together. The fact that many families are facing significant challenges and difficulties due to the restrictions imposed made this collective act even more remarkable. Therefore, to show our children what we can do for others when we come together, we would like to try something a little different this year. The staff team have nominated a local charity and would be delighted if any families wanting to offer a gift to staff this year do so in the form of a donation in the school’s name to Prospect Hospice. This is a cause close to the heart of the school community and in memory of Mrs Lisa Stuckey and the work she did raising money for Lydiard Millicent for many years as a parent and FOLMs member. Staff will also be donating to this charity instead of sending cards to each other.
