The Lyke Wake Walk · 17 February 2013

We are a small charitable Trust working in Eritrea to improve facilities in rural and isolated schools in one of the world's poorest countries.

Story

We're raising money for The John Holmes Educational Trust For Eritrea.

We figured if we're going to ask friends and family to sponsor us, we had to do something tough, and no doubt fairly unpleasant... So the Lyke Wake Walk was suggested... It's a 42 mile walk from Scarth Wood Moor, Osmotherly, across the North Yorkshire Moors, to Ravenscar on the north east coast.

Sat, Sian, Kiran, Lynne, Dean, Simon, Jane, Matthew, Louise, Narinder, Jatinder, Jon and Jo are all mad enough to have signed up to attempt the walk on Saturday 25th May.

All money raised will go to the John Holmes Educational Trust For Eritrea. The Trust relies entirely on funds raised through sponsored events such as this to raise money.

Donating through JustGiving means we can reclaim Gift Aid on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, allowing us to maximise the funds raised.
