Holly is 8 years old and has beautiful long hair. She’s been growing her hair for a long time and is very proud of her long locks. However just recently she decided that rather than just have a trim to tidy up her hair; she would instead like to go for a major cut and donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust. The planned cut will take place sometime in March this year.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults up to the age of 24, who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
The real hair wigs they provide are free to the children they help. If they supply a wig made from hair donated by people like Holly, then this wig costs them a lot less. If a suitable donated-hair wig cannot be sourced, then they buy in the most appropriate wig for the boy or girl in question, as close as possible to their original hair. The cost to the charity to purchase one wig is on average between £350-£500.
We would be delighted if you would sponsor Holly to have her hair cut for this wonderful charity. Having so much cut off her hair in one go will be a big deal to Holly but she knows she’s doing a great thing and raising funds along the way would make it even better.
