As a team of 15 children's nurses and nurse practitioners we have witnessed the incredible work this service provides.  We are walking a minimum of 32 miles each over the month of March to raise vital funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

I'm taking part in the Race to the Base in support The Great North Air Ambulance Service which provides world-class, critical care across the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care team delivers life-saving treatments at the scene of an incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to over 1,600 emergency call-outs last year*, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.*2021
