SHARING SMILES FOR PARKINSONS UK 2017 ON FACEBOOK · 11 April 2017
Tuesday was World Parkinsons Day, and this week is Parkinsons Awareness Week.
I wonder how many of you know anyone with Parkinson's?
At least one....me.
It has been 200 years since Parkinson’s was identified - and 200 years of Parkinson’s is too long.
There is no cure ....yet. I would be overjoyed just to find a way to stop the progression. FULL STOP.
Parkinson’s drugs aren’t good enough. They don’t stop, slow down or reverse the condition or its effects. They can only mask some symptoms for a time. One of the symptoms could be Dead Pan Face . Losing the ability to SMILE.
Parkinson's UK are totally dependent on donations to fund the work that they do. Whoever you are, you can make an enormous difference to the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s.
I have created a Facebook page called Sharing Smiles for Parkinson's UK 2017.
Covering Facebook with big beautiful smiles for the past 4 years has been incredible. Each year has been more successful than the last with over 100 people sharing their smiles.
A total of £2000 has been raised by smiles already in previous year.
This year we'd like to do things a little differently...
As we are trying to gather as many smiles as possible we'd love you to take a selfie of you and a friend together.
But if you're too shy you can draw a smile and take a picture of that instead.
Email to lyndahornyak@gmail.com anđ Ì wilĺ ďisplay here before addìng to a collage.
Post those cheeky grins to me at the facebook page below;

Be careful not to bump into the EASTER BUNNY.
I HAVE PARKINSONS... SO DOES MY DAD X
