Hi there, my name is Lyndsey,

As an assistant support worker for Gowrie Care, I have the opportunity to care for and support some truly amazing people.

I love my job and enjoy working with some great characters in The Monteith which is a supported accommodation for homeless men. One of my jobs within the project is organising activities for the service users but this can be hard as money is tight. 

I am really passionate about my job and the people I support and I know that activities make a big difference to their lives. Enjoyable activities are really important to help the service users to build confidence and socialise which can be a barrier for many of them.   I have decided I would love to help and thought that a fundraising event would be a great idea. I know the residents would love a pool table and it would really make a positive impact on their lives.

I have always wanted to do a bungee jump and thought this would be a great chance forfundraising. I will be doing the jump off the Titan Crane in Clydebank. The jump is a free fall  of approx. 45 metres hurtling  towards the Clyde!!  

I would love to raise £450 to get a pool table for the project.

It would be great if you could all support me and donate…. Every penny helps. I would also love if you would come and support me on the day by cheering me on so I can get over my nerves!!!
