Story

I recently decided to join the 5K Dog Jog, on AUGUST 20th IN HEATON PARK, with Hunter, as a bit of fun and a chance to meet lots of doggies! When I went on the website to register I saw that you had the option to raise money for charity at the same time as having a nice day out and I knew instantly which charity I wanted to support.

A few months ago I was at my lowest point where my mental health had gotten so bad that I went to stay in a crisis centre for 10 days. Although I was scared and really unwell, the staff at Crisis Point were nothing short of incredible. Every single staff member helped me in some way or another, whether that be in one-to-one sessions, chats over a cup of tea or a hug when I was in tears.

Crisis Point in Manchester is run by the charity Turning Point which has many mental health support services all over the country.

If you can spare a few pennies I would love for us to raise some money for Turning Point as it will allow them to help even more people, just like they helped me.

Thank you!
