Acorns Children's Hospice Trust - Acorns Midnight Walk 2011 · 17 September 2011 ·

Acorns supports more than 800 children and over 1,100 families every year. The charity needs to raise £14 million each year to provide its care services across hospices and community settings. Your support means Acorns can continue to be there for local families facing the unimaginable.

Story

Well, we have now completed the walk. The night was really good and the weather was kind to us - cold but dry so we didn't get wet. Emma was on a mission so we managed to complete the 10 km in 90 minutes. She would have been much quicker but I was the one holding her up! No blisters but I am a bit stiff! Thanks for your support. We are still collecting money so you aren't too late to sponsor us or make a donation.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Emma and I decided that we wanted to be part of this years Midnight Walk for Acorns Children's Hospice Trust and do something to help the children and families that they support. We will be walking 10 km through Birmingham on 17th September.

Acorns provide care and support to familes with life limited children and do a wonderful job that is much needed. These families face huge emotional and physical challenges every day. We will only be giving up a few hours of our time but the money raised will make have a big impact on these children and their families.
