Story

You are here because you have kindly supported 1001fontaines UK through the Thames Path Challenge. 1001 thanks for helping to bring clean water to children and communities in emerging markets.

Unsafe water kills 1 child every 7 minutes.  £2 funding can provide clean water for a child in school for a year. We fund clean water supply to schools and have reduced childhood diseases and mortality significantly through our work in Cambodia.

I am a trustee of 1001fontaines UK; a charity focused on providing clean water to children and communities in emerging markets.  Our charity develops water purification kiosks with a community, enabling a local entrepreneur to create a long term sustainable business.  This entrepreneurial model has had great success in Cambodia and Vietnam and will be rolled out more broadly across the globe with your support.
