Luke was a boy with a big heart and a sunny smile. He could chat away to the young and old and loved to help out at his local beavers group. Luke was a triplet and had a special bond with his two sisters. At the age of 15, he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Luke had surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible but not all could be removed because of where it was. He then went through chemotherapy and radiotherapy. He was brave and positive throughout the treatment and we believed he'd get through it. We never thought for one moment that we'd lose him. Sadly, Luke passed away on 2 March 2016 at the age of 16.
Since then, we have raised money for The Brain Tumour Charity and have set up The Luke Fallon Fund to raise funds for research into high grade brain tumours. We've trekked in Iceland, climbed the Yorkshire Three Peaks, run half marathons and held several events such as coffee and cake sales, a raffle evening, Christmas Jumper days, Pyjama tea parties, and clothes swaps. We are planning more events in the future. Watch this space for information about our upcoming Mamma Mia event in June 2019.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for all of your support.
