In Memory of Keith

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My brother Keith Redhead sadly passed away on 14 April 2021, following a brave battle from inoperable brain tumours. Owing to Covid restrictions we had a small funeral gathering and were unable to celebrate Keith’s life in style. For which we will making amends in June 2022 when friends and family will come together and have the ‘big bash’ he’d asked for.
It’s a testament to Keith’s character that he had so many friends. Friends he made at university, the bike club, the workplace, the sports club, the bridge club, through the research he did. Let’s face it, he made friends wherever he went. And many became his surrogate family.
Keith lived his life to the full. He was a larger than life character and I know he leaves a gaping hole in many people’s lives. As a microbiologist specialising in virology and immunology, his loss will also be felt by the scientific world. But his legacy lives on.
Keith will be remembered for being kind, honest, funny, clever and genuine. I cannot imagine Keith without a wide smile on his face. Let’s picture that amazing smile in memory of Keith.
It feels like the right time to raise some funds for The Brain Tumour Charity; a charity dedicated to research, raising awareness of brain tumours, reducing diagnosis times and providing support and information for people with brain tumours, their families and friends. All donations will be gratefully received.
