Story
Last Friday we received the devastating news that my lovely husband has pancreatic cancer. It was picked up quite by chance after a chest CT scan had extended into the upper part of his abdomen. He has no symptoms currently. Usually by the time this disease is diagnosed, when symptoms eventually appear, the cancer is too far advanced (Stage IV) to treat successfully.
Every day 26 people die from this disease, and it is only through early diagnosis we can bring that number down. I am taking part in the 60 Miles in April walk to help ensure more people are diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer early and in time for surgery, giving them a much higher chance of survival.
If you are able, please donate. All cancers deserve funds but pancreatic cancer is not so well publicised as some forms of this dreadful disease.
Thank you
