Welcome to my summer months of madness to:

a) celebrate my 50th birthday and

b) raise loads of money for Arthritis Research 

All funds raised on this page will go to Arthritis Research. I will be matching the amount raised by making donations to some other local charities too eg St Martin's, Candlelighters and to the Red Cross.

The fun starts next week and finishes at the end of the July, so I have 6 weeks to pack as much in as I can.

So far I'm:

Cycling 70 miles from Wetherby to Filey

Running an Xtreme 10k (obstacles and lots of mud)

Walking the Yorkshire 3 peaks

White water rafting, kayaking and canyoning the Soca river in Slovenia.

Considering (I can be persuaded with a big donation) to round it all off with a tandem sky dive. Gives me butterflies just thinking about it!

Please give generously. Arthritis is a disease that affects both old and young. My mum started with it in her 30s. I can only remember her running round and playing with us once as a kid. Even the she had to stop to rest. She died in her 50s.
