Last year, my teenage daughter Caragh was taken to Ninewells hospital suffering symptoms of an upper Kidney infection. She deteriorated very quickly and the infection developed into Sepsis. Within a matter of hours the infection had progressed to severe sepsis and she was admitted to intensive care where symptoms of septic shock began to take hold. We will forever be in debt to the amazing Paediatric team at Ninewells Hospital (and the virtual teams at Edinburgh and Glasgow Sick Kids) who saved her life. Her recovery has been a long one, both physically and mentally and the nursing team at The UK Sepsis Trust were such a great support in helping me to help Caragh.
I will be Cycling4Sepsis in September covering 150 miles with my younger daughter Caitlin and my Dad to help raise funds for this amazing charity who provide fantastic help and support to people of all ages across the UK.

Cycle4Sepsis is back for its 9th year and I'm supporting them in their mission to raise awareness about sepsis across the country. In celebration of World Sepsis Day on 13th September, I will be cycling between: 1st & 30th September. I'm looking for some special, kind people to sponsor me! So if you could, it would be great if you'd donate to my page. Every year in the UK, sepsis kills at least 48,000 people, with better awareness thousands of these lives could be saved. Thank you for your help! Your support and donations will make the difference!
