Story
My name is Lyra Clark; I am 10 years of age, I have been inspired by a young girl Called Evie who was diagnosed with a brain tumour, I’ve followed her journey and when she decided to be brave and shave all her hair off because the treatment was making her lose her hair, it really touched me and I asked my mum if I could give my hair to Evie. My mum told me I couldn’t but said there was a charity called The little Princess Trust who make wigs from real hair which helps little girls like Evie and this is where my story begins.
Hi I am Lyra’s mum, I was taken aback when Lyra asked me if she could give Evie her hair, I felt reluctant because Lyra suffers with her mental health and how she looks and feels about herself and her hair is very important to her especially as she is a dancer,, she also suffers with sensory issues, , being a kid is very difficult for Lyra.
Once Lyra is set on something let’s just say there is no going back :) I obviously couldn’t deny her such a selfless request and I’m so proud of her bravery and courage to do this and as she said to me her hair will grow back wheres as children with cancer can have hair loss for a very long time!
Please donate what you can to this amazing charity & supporting Lyra and also please check out Evie’s Dream on https://www.gofundme.com/f/evies-journey and follow her journey on fb! Evie is an inspirational little girl who has so much courage and bravery and her family are so proud of her, I want to thank Evie for inspiring my Lyra.
