Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I  am raising money for the Variety Club Children's Charity by driving my 1995 Mini Cooper to Italy and back to do a completely legal "Italian Job" , I want to cover the mini with sponsored stickers, so if you want your name on the mini, tell me!

Our last fundraising event is a 'MINI' CHARITY AUCTION, which we are holding at the Hare and Hounds, Burstwick, on Friday September 16th.  Local auctioneer Ralph Ward, ably assisted by Tim Fussey, will officiate on the night, making it an evening to remember, so please come along.  If you can donate goods or services please get in touch with me on 07828 870342 as soon as you can.

Race night raised £795, brilliant, and we have also raised over £300 with car boot sales and donations, so please keep donating, we would so like to meet our target!  However you help, thank you!

MINI RACE NIGHT ! TUESDAY 23 August

AT THE HUMBER TAVERN, PAULL

Mini drivers with a passion for the 1960’s British classic cars are taking part in a totally legal Italian Job to raise money for disabled and disadvantaged children in the UK.

Please help Team 13, local drivers Lyz and John raise as much as they can for the Variety Club Children’s Charity by supporting them at Race Night at the Humber Tavern on 23rd August.  Sponsor  a race for £25 and get your name on the car all the way to Italy, buy a horse or train it for just £3,  then have a bet and a fun night out!

You can also raise money by texting ACVJ89 £1 (or however much you want to donate) to 70070 through the Vodaphone JustTextGiving scheme which sends your money directly to the charity.

Lyz Turner, from Hollym, navigator John Rickard, New Holland, and a 1995 mini-cooper are Team 13. They will join Mini fans from all over the world on the charity fund-raising trip of a lifetime, following in the tyre tracks of Sir Michael Caine’s 1969 classic film The Italian Job, across the mountains of northern Italy and even onto the rooftop test track of the world famous Fiat Lingotto factory building”.

Each team’s challenge is to raise £1500+ in sponsorship money for the Variety Club Children’s Charity, and so Team 13 is offering to carry advertising logo’s on the mini for just £25.  The mini will be attending many events over the summer, and of course, be driving to Italy and back in the autumn, so lots of publicity is guaranteed! The mini roof is also available for advertising one large logo for £500!

First come first served, so get in touch with Lyz on 07828 870342 for maximum impact. You can also send your sticker and a cheque, made payable to “The Italian Job”, to: Lyz Turner, Nevill’s Farm, Hollym, East Yorkshire, HU19 2QW.

“We are covering all our own expenses, so that all the money we actually raise through donations is given to the charitysaid Lyz.
