AANI, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the region and responds to seriously ill or injured patients 12 hours a day, 7 days per week. It costs £5,500 per day to sustain this life saving service. This service is very close to my heart and what a wonderful way to raise funds for this charity by completing my 1st half marathon.
