As some of you know I'm running the London Marathon (my first time running this distance) on Sunday 23rd April with a very lucky ballot place. After some thought, I want to raise some funds for 'Ask For Jake'

In 2019 the Braunton Devon community was shocked by the sudden Death of a young man Jake McPhail. Sadly, Jake took his own life. He was 18 years old.   In response, the Ask for Jake non-profit charity has been formed to provide a network of local businesses, coaches, community leaders and just general people where anyone can ‘Ask for Jake’ which will prompt immediate support on a personal and community-led basis.This initiative is not solely about suicide but includes all challenges including self-harming, eating and behaviour issues, drug and alcohol dependency and any other issue which manifests in the first instance.

After losing my Dad to suicide in 2017, this is a topic that touches my heart deeply and would love to fundraise for 'Ask For Jake' to help others suffering from low mental health and suicidal thoughts.
