Story
I wanted to let you know that I
am running the London Marathon in April this year and I will be running in aid
of the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Who are BHF? BHF are the nation's heart charity and the largest independent funder of cardiovascular research and fund extra research into the causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart and circulatory disease
What is Cardiovascular disease? Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is an umbrella term for all diseases of the heart and circulation, including heart disease, stroke, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and atrial fibrillator
Cardiovascular (heart and circulatory) disease causes more than a quarter of all deaths in the UK
- There are an estimated 7 million people living with cardiovascular disease in the UK
- Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is the UK's single biggest killer
Cardiovascular disease is likely to affect people we know or even ourselves.
What can we do about it?
Every pound raised will be matched by Fidelity and by accepting ‘Gift Aid’ an additional 20% will be added to your donation. To put this in Fidelity terms, the return on your investment will be an additional 150%!!!
