Mobs' Unconventional Triathlon

The Unconventional Triathlon · 10 April 2020
Hello, it's Mabel here and I am going to complete an unconventional triathlon in four days time, in order to raise money for Fife Women's Aid.
I am a member of a non-profit charity organisation called the Lumsden Club. There are 36 of us and we have each been recently challenged to raise £50 by Friday April 10th for our deserving charity, FWA. This charity seeks to eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation across Fife, and needs our support now more than ever on account of the national lockdown.
In order to raise £50, I have adapted the Half-Ironman Triathlon to align with the limitations of the lockdown.
A normal Half-Ironman Triathlon involves: 1.2 mile (1.9km) swim, 56 mile (90km) bike ride and a 13.1 mile (21.1km) run.
My unconventional triathlon involves: 1200 punches on a punch bag, 56 mile (90km) motorbike ride and a 13.1 mile (21.1km) run.
All of the aforementioned activities will be completed at home and in the surrounding fields #stayhome. I have improvised, adapted and overcome issues such as not having access to a swimming pool, not owning a bicycle, and most definitely not being fit enough.
Those of you who know me will know that I am not at my fittest (uni hit hard), so donate if you want some entertainment as I try and run 13.1 miles. There will be video footage throughout the event and evidence of completion will be provided.
ALL IN ALL, pubs are closed so donate your pint and know that your money is helping many women in desperate need.
**Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
