Bupa Great North Run 2014 · 7 September 2014 ·

At Bluebell Wood, we care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes. It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive 16% Statutory funding.

Story

This is the first time all 4 Macfarlanes are running the Great North Run together. This is especially impressive for Joan, who has never so much as run for a bus in her life before training for this.

She has fully committed though, rigorously sticking to her training programme come rain, shine or plantar fasciitis. It will be an incredible achievement when she completes it.

We are raising money for Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice, who provide care for terminally ill children in Sheffield. Please donate... and pray that Joan doesn't manage to beat me!

Thanks xx
