Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 26th April 2014, I am going to run the Hoka Highland Fling, 53 miles of the West Highland Way, from Milngavie to Tyndrum. Having completed a the same race for charity last year, I've decided to try it again and do it faster . . . .

I am raising money for my daughters' school, St Aloysius’ College, to help them continue projects attached to their sister schools in Kibera - St Aloysius Gonzaga High School and Laini Saba Primary School. Most of the pupils are orphans and live in the surrounding slum, but steady progress is being made to improve the conditions.

The Kibera is a slum area of 2.5 sq. km in Nairobi, which is home to 800,000+ people. There is no sewage system or electricity. Some 20% of children die before their fifth birthday and close to 60% of people living in the Kibera have HIV/AIDS.

So please dig deep and donate now.
