As you are aware we lost our daughter Macy Bonita Heyworth on the 14th August 2006 aged 10 weeks old to meningitis caused by late on Strep B.  We decided at the time we didn't want her short beautiful life to be in vain and we would like to raise £20,000.00 in her memory. We have done numerous things so far and aim for a Ball sometime in 2011. Our total so far is approximately £8500.00.

There are lots of people helping in our mission which is why we have this page.

We are hoping for donations  which will all go into specifically towards detecting strep b in new born babies something which is more common than you think. Our daughter has her own charity number at meningitis, we would prefer her to be here and not be a number, but that's unfortunately how it is.  If we raise money doing various things we might possibly help towards it not happening to another family.
