Story
On the 8th June 2020 my mum (Beryl / Big B) was diagnosed with non-hodgkin lymphoma.
Mum had tumours throughout her body and needed chemotherapy. Cancer is rubbish, throughout your fight you have a million questions that are hard to answer.
Those diagnosed with cancer need so much more than medical treatment to get them through it and that's where Maggie's Merseyside have helped Big B. They make everything around your treatment more manageable.
She's had one to one support calls with Maggie's cancer experts, joined specialist haematology groups on zoom and met with their clinical psychologist. She's even going on a sleep course - How good is that.
I want to raise as much money as I can to say thank you Maggie's Merseyside 🧡
Big B is still fighting, she's still recovering from chemo and getting stronger each day. She's had an incredible network of care since this all began and I can't thank everyone enough who has helped and continues to help her.
She's also learnt to crochet, and is now knocking out some pretty high quality blankets #Upskill.

*Big B isn't actually big, it's ironic. Mum wanted that bit added 🤝

The Ride
414km (258 miles) should take about 20 hours and has 3,486m of climbing in it.
I've never attempted anything like this before so any support you can throw my way, it will be greatly appreciated 🙏

More on Maggies
Maggie’s isn’t part of the NHS – they're an independent charity – and so they need your support 💫

'Out to mum' (because I know you're the only person reading this far down...)
I don't say it anywhere near enough but you are the best mum ever.
You (and dad) have been the foundation that I've built my whole life on. I can't wait to give you both a massive hug x
