We pray that you are well.  Welcome to the Madam's Goods Ramadhan 2021 fundraising page.

This Ramadhan Madam's Goods will be supporting a few different causes.

We are currently supporting the Peoples Needs charity (https://peoplesneeds.org/ ) to assist the people of West Bengal, India. Peoples Needs are a UK registered charity (reg number: 1126869) with a 100% donations policy.

The charity has been active in this area providing emergency aid, implementing water projects and supporting widows and
orphans here. There is still so much more to be done and with your help we can collectively help.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

'Allah is in the help of His servant, so long as the servant is in the
help of his brother.'    [Muslim]

We are specifically aiming to raise funds for the following projects:

• Water project - Water in West Bengal is a major problem.  Villagers with no clean water access use rain collected water in trenches. This water is dirty and is also used by animals yet people have no option but to use it for cleaning (including food), washing, bathing and doing wudhu. 
• £150 Hand water pump. This can be Sadaqa, Zakat, Lillah
  eligible.
• £250 Lillah only hand water pump - This would be placed near a mosque so mussallis can use it for wudhu. This would also cover the cost of a 1000 litre storage tank facility as well as a seating area for making wudhu.
• £400 Lillah only for a deep water well – This would provide clean and drinking quality water and can support whole villages of between 100-400 people.

For whole water wells and water pumps donated by an individual, a plaque with your name can be placed at the site.

• Orphan sponsorship - £150 per year. Pays for accommodation, food and education.  Sadaqa, Zakat, Lillah eligible.

• Widow sponsorship - £150 per year.  Sadaqa, Zakat, Lillah eligible.

• Food parcels - £30 for one month per family. Sadaqa, Zakat, Lillah eligible. (Please get your donations for food parcels
  in early so that for only £30 you can reap the extra reward to ensure that a family has sufficient food for the blessed month of Ramadhan.)

Supporting a 100% donation policy, Sadaqa, Zakat and Lillah are all welcome. Your help is needed now more than ever. Please donate as much as you can for this appeal to help our brothers and sisters in West Bengal and above all please make dua that the Almighty eases the suffering of those less fortunate than us.

Please specify if your donation is Sadaqa, Zakat or Lillah and if it is to support any specific project listed. Any donation that does not have this specified will be treated as Lillah and used for any of the projects listed above.

If applicable, adding Gift Aid means the charity can claim an extra 25% for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra.
