My Grandad Leo was diagnosed with aphasia (complete loss of speech) and Alzheimer's disease a few years ago. It is a cruel challenging disease to live with and especially difficult for both patients and their families. I am running for my grandad and for the Alzheimer's charity in order to raise as much money and awareness as possible. And also because he stepped in to be the best dad that I ever had and gave me everything. This is a way I feel I can give something back.
