We support thousands of people living with terminal illnesses & their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home. We need to raise £12.7 million this year to provide our services free of charge – we can’t do it without you!

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hello

It has been a little while since I have been able to do something to pay back Myton so I have decided to do the Myton Santa Dash in December.

I will be walking and running 5k with my Dad and Deborah. We can also take our dog Millie who is a Chocolate Labrador puppy.  We will all be wearing Santa suits and Millie is not going to be left out and will be sporting a Santa dash outfit too! I will put photos on after so you can have a giggle too!

My wish for this run is to raise £100 for the Santa dash and it would be great if you could help me. It will be 12 months since I first learnt about Myton when Mum had to talk to them about going in for her last days. Since then as you can see I have been so fortunate to receive donations to the sum of £3,328.92

During the summer I completed the ice bucket challenge on Weymouth beach and I donated my money to Myton for this

Thanks for reading this. Maddie xx

I wanted to update this page and say a big big thank you to every single person who has donated since I did my walk. Because of a missed day at school and a missed trip Myton hospice now have enough money from people have donated for my story to look after one person for 6 full days. I am really really happy about this. My mom would be amazed that so many people have been so kind to me. I was sad for one day because I missed a school trip but I know I did my best at school and I am glad now I missed out because it means that all this money has been raised for Myton. So I will say I always do and you are awesome for donating thank you xx

I am 11 years old and in January I lost my mom because of breast cancer. She died at Myton hospice Coventry who looked after her amazingly. They also helped me, my brother and my sister. While we were there they could only open ten of the twenty beds available. My mom thought it was sad that so many people were suffering at home instead of having the constant care at the hospice and all the help the staff did to help me and my family. I want to raise money so that beds can be open all the time and other families can be together at hard times.  Please help me help Myton no matter how small or big every bit helps. Thank you Maddie xx
