I’m taking part in the University of Sheffield’s Big Week to fundraise for Parkinson’s disease research. Together with the rest of the University of Sheffield community, I’ll be contributing to a 50,000km movement target. It’s now been more than 50 years since the last big breakthrough in Parkinson’s research - a statistic we hope will change soon thanks to research at the University of Sheffield. I'm planning to cover 30km personally through a mix of walking and running throughout the Big Week, thank goodness for the Bank Holiday to help me get in the extra distance!
