We are continuing to keep this page open for continued fundraising for Brainwave , a Children's charity close to our hearts.

2022:We took a £429 banger with Motoscape charity rally group on an adventure like no other for Brainwave because Brainwave's intervention transformed Maddy's life by helping her unlock her potential. Then on our return, with Becky to Porto.

2025: We are again taking a car to Europe, on another adventure fundraising, hoping to raise enough funds to support a young child to start their personal journey with Brainwave, to achieve their own individual potential. This time we are taking a rather "ropey" SLK on a DIY trip, again as "Tweenies" but this time with a safari theme to the South of France via France, Switzerland, Italy; Monaco & France again; with no back up group OR being fluent in European languages.

Story: The Tweenies on Tour are a mother and daughters team whose first challenge adventure was to drive through 8 countries in 5 days, destination Venice with an amazing group of people. We drove through breath-taking scenery enjoying fun, much laughter; challenges en-route. Having an incredible time whilst raising as much money as possible for Brainwave.

Our second 2022 journey took Becky & I to Porto, where Becky completed an incredible charity fundraising sky dive!!

Both the charity banger car & us are always in fancy dress AND we're always rather nervous because we have no mechanical knowledge whatsoever!!

We are raising money for Brainwave because at 6 months old, chickenpox was life-changing for Maddy, and developmental skills were lost. An NHS prognosis then was she might never walk or talk.

Maddy first attended The Brainwave Centre in Bridgwater for her initial assessment in December 2002. She was 2 years old. At the Centre, Maddy was prescribed a holistic programme of integrating therapy exercises and most importantly her development; cognitive abilities were continually assessed. The wonderful team at Brainwave continued to support; keeping in touch with us over the years.

This is our family's way of thanking the charity. We are welcoming donations to help fund places, so other young children can attend the Centre and reach their individual potential.
