BeachAbility is a charity in Jersey that provides manual, ballooned wheel chairs available for use on the beach. The chairs roll over sand stones and slipways with ease and are available for anyone that needs help with their mobility. The chairs are available to use on a "free to loan" basis.

Story

Right gang, so I am about to embark on the toughest physical challenge I have ever set myself....the London Duathlon!

The Duathlon consists of 5k run followed by 11k cycle and a final delightful 5k run....all in all a lovely 21K!!!

So to the point of why I am doing this delightful challenge, I am raising money for Beach Ability in honour of Shaz Gray who sadly passed away in December 2013 after a long battle with MND (motor neurone disease)

The idea for Beach Ability came when Shaz was diagnosed with MND and soon after became wheelchair-bound. She found that she could no longer enjoy the simple pleasure of being on the beach and with her friend Suzie MacLagan they took the idea and made it a reality.

Beach Ability now offers beach accessibility to those who are wheelchair-bound but still want to enjoy the beach, something we all take for granted.

SO in honour of Shaz I am asking very nicely please donate generously for this amazing cause, or donate to see the pain on my face at the end of 21k.....

THANK YOU
Maddie xx
