Hello, my name is Maddie. For the past 7 years my school, Calthorpe Park, has been supporting The Ocean Stars Trust which was set up after the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami in Sri Lanka. The money raised by ocean stars has not only seen them construct and open their own school but has enabled them to takeover and manage 20 others. This has meant that over 700 children  have had access to an education. 

This year myself and 19 other students have been selected to travel to Sri Lanka to teach in the schools and take equipment with us that is not as readily available to them as it is to us. We have been asked to raise at least £9500 to buy this equipment and support the children through their education. 

As a team we hope to achieve this through various fundraising events but please donate here in the meantime.
